YES THERE IS A SCHOLARSHIP FOR SQUARE DANCING 

The Square and Folk Dance Federation of Washington, Inc. is accepting applications for the merit based $500.00 scholarship from youth members active within our clubs and councils.
Eligibility requirements:

1. Applicants must be active members in good standing of a Washington State Federated Club.
2. Applicants will be from the ages of 17 through 22.
3. Applicants must have shown a commitment to the promotion of square dancing.
4. Funds must be used to further education beyond high school.

1. A completed application form
2. A letter of nomination from your State Federation Council
3. Each nominee must prepare an essay on your involvement in Square Dance, how it has impacted your life, how you would help square dancing grow, and why you deserve this scholarship.
4. A list describing your volunteer work.
